Café Galang is a family-run café on Westminster Ave, a few blocks from Little Saigon. We brew coffee the slow way, through a phin filter onto sweetened condensed milk, and we serve it iced the way most of Garden Grove drinks it.
Most mornings the same faces are in the same seats: the early shift workers at 6am, the retirees who stay for the KENO draws, the families who come in after church on Sunday. There's free WiFi, a free parking lot out front, and nobody rushes you out of your chair.

What time does Café Galang open in the morning?
6am, every day of the week, including Sunday. The coffee is already dripping and the egg bánh mì is ready by the time the door unlocks. We close at 8pm.
Is there parking at the Westminster Ave location?
Yes, there's a free parking lot right in front of the café at 10947 Westminster Ave. Street parking on Westminster is also free if the lot is full during the lunch rush.
Can I play KENO and buy lottery tickets here?
Yes. We're an official California Lottery retailer. Hot Spot KENO draws run every 4 minutes on the screens, and we sell scratchers plus every draw game including Powerball, Mega Millions, SuperLotto Plus, Fantasy 5, Daily 3 and Daily 4. You must be 18 or older to play.
Do you cash winning lottery tickets?
Prizes up to $599 are paid at the counter during open hours. For wins of $600 and above we'll hand you a claim form and point you to the nearest California Lottery district office.
Is the Vietnamese coffee made with a phin filter?
Yes. Each cà phê sữa đá is dripped through a metal phin onto condensed milk, then poured over ice. It takes a few minutes, which is the point. We also do black coffee, smoothies and tea if that's your thing.
Do you take phone orders for pickup?
Yes, call the café and we'll have bánh mì or a soup packed and waiting at the counter. We don't do delivery through the website right now, and large orders of 10 or more sandwiches need a day's notice.
